How It Works
Record
Download the MetrIQ Recorder. It runs locally on your machine with a real Chromium browser. Click "Record" and interact with your web app — all actions, network requests, and console logs are captured.
Upload
Hit "Upload to Cloud" and your test run is sent to MetrIQ Cloud. Your API key proves ownership. We store the full JSON report with screenshots, network timeline, and console output.
Analyze
View your Reports dashboard. Click any test run to see metadata, screenshots, and network details. Click "Analyze" to trigger AI-powered suggestions.
Get Insights
AI analyzes your test run and suggests performance tips, security issues, error diagnosis, and next steps. Cached per run to avoid redundant analysis.

Privacy & Data
Data Collection
MetrIQ Recorder captures:
- User interactions (clicks, typing, navigation)
- Network requests/responses (headers, payloads, timing)
- Browser console output (logs, warnings, errors)
- Screenshots of the application state
- Test metadata (URL, status, timing)
Data Storage & Security
- Test reports are stored in PostgreSQL on MetrIQ Cloud
- Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS)
- Each user can only access their own test reports (session-based auth)
- Reports are tied to your account and subscription
- You can delete reports at any time
Sensitive Data Warning
Do not record test runs against production systems with sensitive credentials.Passwords, API keys, and PII in console logs or network payloads will be captured. Use test accounts with dummy data.
AI Analysis
- Test report data (excluding raw network payloads/screenshots) is sent to Claude for analysis
- Analysis results are cached in your report and not sent again
- Claude processes data per its privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy
Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptable Use
You agree to use MetrIQ Recorder only for legitimate testing and automation purposes. Prohibited uses include:
- Scraping or extracting data from websites you don't own
- Testing third-party services without permission
- Creating test bots for spam, fraud, or malicious purposes
- Circumventing rate limits or security controls
- Recording without consent from application owners
2. Subscriptions & Billing
- Subscriptions renew automatically on your billing cycle
- You can cancel at any time; no refunds for partial months
- URL limits reset on each billing cycle (unused URLs do not roll over)
- Overages may incur additional charges (pricing shown at checkout)
3. Content & Ownership
- You own all test reports and data you upload to MetrIQ Cloud
- MetrIQ may use anonymized, aggregated analytics to improve the service
- We will not sell, trade, or rent your test data to third parties
4. Liability Limitations
MetrIQ Recorder is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Test failures, false positives, or missed bugs
- Data loss due to account deletion or service termination
- Performance issues in your application or test infrastructure
- Third-party service failures (e.g., Chromium, Claude API downtime)
- Indirect or consequential damages from use of the service
5. Service Availability
- We aim for 99% uptime but make no guarantees
- Planned maintenance windows may be scheduled with notice
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with 30 days' notice
- Your account may be suspended for terms violations
6. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of MetrIQ Recorder after updates constitutes acceptance of new terms.
