What MetrIQ actually does
Not another script-writing IDE. MetrIQ observes a real browser session and produces the artifacts you need to reproduce, regress and verify a flow.
Real-browser recording
Launches Chromium with Playwright. Captures clicks, typing, form submits, scrolls, keyboard shortcuts — and takes a screenshot on every action.
Full network trace
Every request and response with method, status, URL and safely-redacted headers. Optional JSON/text body capture. Failed responses highlighted.
Console + errors
page.on('console') and page.on('pageerror') feed into the run. Warnings, errors and thrown exceptions surface in the report.
Heuristic login
Give a username and password and MetrIQ finds the email/password fields, submits, and screenshots before/after. Same-page and email-first flows both work.
AI verdict
Send the run to a local Ollama model (free) or Claude (paid). Get a healthy/suspicious/broken verdict with cited evidence.
Suggested assertions
MetrIQ writes Playwright expect(...) snippets you can paste straight into a regression suite. No more guessing what to assert.
JSON test spec
Every run is a deterministic test-run.json with actions, network, console and screenshot filenames — the single source of truth for later replay.
Reports library
Every run kept on disk. Filter, drill in per-tab (actions / network / console / screenshots / AI / raw), delete when done.
